Last updated: October 13, 2026

Pro Excavation Toronto ("we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through proexcavationtoronto.ca, by phone and during our work, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to give us, including:

  • Contact details: your name, phone number and, if you provide it, your email address.
  • Project details: your general area (for example "North York" or "Mississauga"), the service you are interested in, and any description you share about your property, timeline or problem.
  • Site information: during a site visit or project, photos, measurements, drawings and notes about the property, foundations, utilities and access.
  • Communications: records of calls, messages and emails with us.
  • Payment and contract information: details needed to prepare quotes, contracts, invoices and insurance documentation.

When you visit the website, standard technical information such as your browser type, device, pages viewed and the page from which you submitted a form may be collected automatically through server logs, cookies or analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your request, book a site visit and prepare a written quote.
  • To plan, permit, carry out and document your project, including filings with Toronto Building or other municipal building departments, utility locate requests and engineering reviews.
  • To communicate with you, your neighbours (only as needed for notice packages), insurers, adjusters or lenders when you ask us to.
  • To invoice, collect payment and keep business records required by law.
  • To improve our website and services.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry without your consent.

3. Website Forms

Our website forms are processed by a lead-capture service (LocusPilot) that delivers your submission to us by email. The service receives the information you enter, the page you submitted it from and basic technical data used to prevent spam. Email is optional on our forms.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share personal information only when needed to deliver our services or when required by law, for example with:

  • Municipal building departments, utilities and Ontario One Call for permits, inspections and locates.
  • Engineers, surveyors, testing firms, abatement contractors and other trades working on your project.
  • Your insurer or adjuster, when you ask us to bill or report directly.
  • Service providers who host our website, process form submissions or keep our records, under appropriate confidentiality terms.
  • Authorities when the law requires it.

5. Photos of Your Property

We photograph job sites for safety, quality and documentation. We may use project photos and general descriptions on our website and in marketing, but we do not publish street addresses or images showing people's faces without permission. You can ask us not to use photos of your project at any time.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure enquiries. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and project records for as long as required for warranty, insurance, tax and legal purposes. We then delete or securely destroy it.

8. Security

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive financial information through website forms.

9. Your Rights

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, call us at (647) 277-2002 or use our contact form.
